Many use Google Meet for calls, however, the service has certain limitations, especially when using multiple devices.
Google has decided to address some of these issues by giving users the ability to seamlessly transfer calls from one device to another.
Transferring calls across devices is a breeze after the latest Google Meet update
Sometimes during a Google Meet call you need to switch from one device to another, and this usually means exiting the meeting and joining again. Well, not anymore!
According to theGoogle Workspace page, you can now easily transfer Google Meet calls across devices without having to drop the call.
If you join a meeting with a different device, you’ll see a Switch here option that you can use to transfer the call from one device to another, so you won’t miss out on any important information.
This feature is available to all Google Workspace customers and users with personal Google accounts. Regarding the availability, the gradual rollout has already started for users on Rapid Release domains.
However, most users are on Scheduled Release domains, and the full rollout is expected to start on May 9th.
This is an exciting feature, however, Microsoft is also working on some changes, andTeams presenters will soon be able to drag the toolbar anywhere on the screen.
That’s not all, asMicrosoft plans to add Intelligent Call Recap to Teamsin the future.
