Do you sometimes work on your phone and then want to switch smoothly to your PC without losing what you were doing? Microsoft is creating a magic trick, especially for people like us. They are testing a fresh function named “Continue from Phone” for those using OneDrive on Windows 11.
Imagine you are modifying a file on your mobile phone while having coffee at the same time. You switch to your computer, and with only a few taps, the document moves there without disturbance.
With their sharp vision, the Windows 11 insider community observed this characteristic in the wild. It was discovered within theKB5039327 update for the Beta channel. Even if it’s not officially stated on the changelog, the reliable@phantomofearthfound it out. Right now, it is like a ghost in a machine, operating silently without any visual proof of its existence yet. But the potential it holds is pretty exciting.

The concept is straightforward but has a strong effect. You operate with a file in OneDrive on your smartphone, and then you switch to your PC, whereupon you can resume the work immediately. There is no requirement to send an email with the file or store a link; everything is smoothly united. But this feature is not present yet. It’s still being tested and is not fully functional.
But we must not overlook that Microsoft is not a novice in this field. They have been constructing connections between phones and computers for some time now. Do you recall the Phone Link application designed for iOS users? It’s just another small advancement in their long mission to simplify our digital lives. With the “Continue from Phone,” they move towards a completely linked experience.
Does the idea of transferring your work from one device to another without any interruption excite you? It may not be quite prepared yet, but it is certainly an aspect to anticipate. Perhaps, when it is functioning at its best, we will question how we managed before this tool existed.
