If you have been excited aboutWindows 11 24H2and are eagerly awaiting an opportunity to install and try it out, we have good news. Microsoft has rolled outWindows 11 24H2in theRelease Previewchannel months before the release in the stable channel later this year!
Given the fact that theRelease Previewchannel is comparatively more stable thanCanary,Dev, andBeta, with refined versions and patches being released here, the likelihood of encountering any critical errors is bleak!
But we still recommend youcreate a backup. This way, you could prevent data loss in case things go south while installingWindows 11 24H2.
How can I install Windows 11 24H2?
You have two options, either installWindows 11 24H2via Windows Update or use the dedicated ISO file. Here are the steps for both:
If theWindows 11 24H2update is not listed immediately, wait for a few days. These are often gradual rollouts, meaning everyone gets the update at a different time. But it will be there sooner or later!

There’s also some bad news. The much-anticipated and recently announcedRecallfeature, along with other AI-powered enhancements, won’t be available after installingWindows 11 24H2as these require aCopilot+PC, a new lineup powered by Arm-based processors.
