This week is Patch Tuesday, which means Microsoft is offering KB5040427, KB5040430, KB5040434, and KB5040448 updates to those who use Windows 10 version 20H2 or later versions, such as 21H2 and 22H2.
For those enthusiastic about maintaining their systems, separate links for these updates can be found onthe Microsoft Update Catalog. You might be curious about what’s in this update.
The most important highlights of these patches are the security updates. However, not everything is without hiccups. A few problems we knew about before have returned, potentially giving some people a headache.
If you enjoy using multiple monitors, Copilot in Windows may still cause your desktop icons to move around from one screen to another or have other alignment problems. And if you like to keep your taskbar vertical, Copilot might ignore you for now. But don’t worry—Microsoft is workingon fixing these issues in the next version of Windows.
If you’re still on an older Windows 10 version, don’t worry – the Patch Tuesday updates cover those, too. The forgotten ones like1809,1607, and even the ancient1507have also been shown some affection with links to these updates found in the Microsoft Update Catalog. However, Windows 10 20H2 and 1909 and non-LTSC editions of 21H2 have all reached the end of servicing.
