We previously explained thesystem requirements forAI Explorer, the much-anticipated feature inWindows 11 24H2. As it turns out, for PCs not compatible withAI Explorer, Windows 11 will display a warning or watermark of some kind!

According toXuserAlbacore, theAI Exploreron build 26200 of the latest iteration will reportedly check whether the PC meets the system requirements, and for the ones that don’t, a warning/watermark will be shown.

Looking at bits present in insider build 26200, AI Explorer indeed checks these requirements and if they aren’t met, a warning will be present in its overlays. You can however skip the check altogether by disabling ID 48486440. This only disables AIX making the check, not the APIhttps://t.co/XmnjzCZqEw

Albacore did find a way to bypass the check by disablingID 48486440, but it only prevents theAI Explorerand not the API.

Earlier, experts discovered thatMicrosoft has limited theAI Explorerto ARM-based PCsand Intel and AMD NPUs didn’t make the cut. This itself puts a significant number of users at a disadvantage. Now, the warning for PCs non-compatible withAI Exploreron Windows 11 is set to infuriate many!

Remember, these warnings are presently limited to thePreviewbuilds of Windows 11 24H2. Microsoft hasn’t confirmed whether these will make it to the stable build.

For now, we recommend you don’t lose patience.AI Explorerhas a ton of great featuresand will be a valuable addition to the latest iteration of the OS.
