As Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree expansion approaches (it rapidly became themost-played game on Xboxafter the expansion was announced), it’s time to prepare ourselves for an utterly fresh journey ahead in our gaming world. Take your controller (or keyboard) in hand because we are going on a trip to prepare our characters for what is coming next.

You have over two weeks to prepare your Elden Ring character for the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. Maybe you are an experienced player who has seen all aspects of this complex game and eagerly awaits new challenges. Perhaps, on the other side, you might be someone new to Elden Ring.

No matter what kind of player you are – veteran or rookie – there is something for everyone in this significant addition: fresh areas waiting to be discovered, bosses readying themselves against your onslaughts, hidden things just begging for uncovering. It’s all very exciting! Just watch thestory trailerbelow.

You are prepared if you have already defeated the main game and did not proceed to New Game+. But it might be good to refresh your abilities and become familiar with the controls again. However, if you start from the beginning or are still not completing it, don’t worry! Here are some tips.

You must defeat Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood, to enter the Land of Shadow. These enemies are strong and must be conquered to access the new content.

You should reach level 120 to prepare yourself well for future endgame challenges. Lastly, prepare yourself by getting Mimic Tear Ash and enhancing your weapons.

After you deal with these, you will be transported to Mohg’s palace, and you’ll be able to touch Miquella’s withered arm and enter the enigmatic Land of Shadow. This is the starting point for your adventure in Shadow of the Erdtree.
