Valheim’s Ashland update has been garnering a lot of attention, primarily due to the wide array of new weapons, ammunition, building items, locations, and a series of fixes. But many running the Xbox or Microsoft Store versions can’t locate the Valheim Ashlands update, let alone install it!
Developers have already acknowledged the problem in theofficial blog post. It reads,
Although it fails to mention a specific timeline, there’s a vital piece of information towards the end. It states that the latest version,0.218.15, is already available onXbox Flight.
For the unversed,Flighthere refers to theXbox Insider Channels. So you can get your hands on the latest Valheim Ashlands update by switching to anXbox Insider Channel. Many have confirmed that the update is available to insiders!
The process involvesjoining the Xbox Insider Channel> restarting the console > going toManage games> choosingValheim> checking for updates > then downloading theAshlandsupdate.
After becoming an Xbox Insider, you can also crossplay with PC players. The functionality wasn’t working properly in the recent while!
What’s new in the Valheim Ashland update?
The release notes for the latest update list the following improvements
Go ahead and download theValheim Ashlandupdate. It shouldn’t be a problem anymore. If you don’t want to go through all the trouble, wait for a few days, and the update should be out for stable Xbox channels and the Microsoft Store.
Also, in case you don’t know, there’s anew Xbox featurethat will automatically install updates even before they go live!
