Microsoft and Qualcomm revealed the Works on Arm Ready Software (WorksOnWoA) website designed for gamers during theBuild 2024 conference. The WorksOnWoA site shows which games are compatible withArm-based Windows PCs. For now, the site has reports for over 1.400 games tested using devices with Snapdragon X Elite processors and Surface laptops.

What can you find on WorksOnWoA?

What can you find on WorksOnWoA?

The WorksOnWoAwebsitedisplays the compatibility of games in four categories: unplayable, runs, playable, and perfect. Here’s what each one of them means:

In addition, WorksOnWoA allows you to browse games by their categories, check if they are Auto Super Resolution compatible, and see if the testing included used fps boost. Unfortunately, it doesn’t specify anything about the graphic settings used.

The Auto Super Resolution is a handy mechanic because it enhances your FPS by rendering the games at lower resolutions and using the AI on the NPU to improve visuals.

Of the 1.400 games available on WorksOnWoA, 747 games work perfectly. However, there are 19 unplayable games, including Fortnite, Roblox, League of Legends, and Pubg. Most of them don’t work due to their anti-cheat software.

According to Linaro, the Arm engineering group behind the website, WorksOnWoA is more of a guide. So, games might not run on your device regardless of their category. If you have an Arm-based PC or plan on getting one, you cancontribute to the site.

Ultimately, you can use WorksOnWoA to see which games are compatible with the future Windows Arm-based PCs. Maybe in the future, Linaro will add the specifications of the devices used to test the games. Unfortunately, the only method to play the unplayable games is to use a streaming service.

Will you get a Windows on Arm PC for gaming? Let us know in the comments.
