Microsoft Phone Link has proven to be a useful tool especially if you want to keep your notifications and pictures synced between the PC and your phone.

Speaking of which, it seems that Microsoft is testing some new features in the Phone Link, so let’s see what’s new.

Phone Link will let you copy text from images soon

AsThe Verge writes, version 1.24051.91.0 of Phone Link allows you to extract text from synced images.

The OCR feature offers solid results, but it can make mistakes. Compared to other tools it makes more mistakes than Samsung or Apple’s text extractors.

Overall, it’s a small and useful feature, and we hope that Microsoft will reliability improvements to it before it officially launches.

This version of the Phone Link is available in the Release Preview Insider builds, and we expect to see it available soon to everyone.

In other news,Windows 11 24H2 is available in the Release Preview channel, so you might want to give it a try. While Phone Link is useful, it seems thatMicrosoft is pushing PC Manager to Windows 11, thus making many users unhappy.
