Microsoft had to stop distributing new updates to the KB5038575 patch (which receiveda second string of updatesin June) in the Dev Channel because of unknown problems, according to the latest edit in the official changelog.

UPDATE 6/30:We have temporarily paused the enablement of these features to investigate a few issues reported by Windows Insiders. We plan to begin the enablement again shortly.

Microsoft had a few interesting developments, such as better narrator improvements, voice access support, a new account manager within the Start menu, and even some fresh emojis. But just when we were about to test these features for ourselves, Microsoft decided to halt progress. They didn’t spill the beans on what exactly went wrong, leaving us all wondering.

Microsoft pulling back an update is not uncommon. One week ago, they needed to retract a non-security update because it created problems for computersrunning virtualization software. It’s unpleasant to imagine switching on your computer only to be trapped in a never-ending cycle of restarts.

Keep in mind that there is a risk each time these updates happen. But there is no need to fret. Microsoft is dealing with it, and we expect to see those fresh characteristics in KB5038575 shortly. Let’s hope for a successful introduction during the next attempt.
