Microsoft recently released the KB5041873 update to the Beta Insider Channel. This update, targeting versions 22H2, 23H2, and the already privileged 24H2 users, introduces new mouse settings that enhance control and comfort, including scrolling directions for Windows 11.
The two new options are underSettings > Bluetooth & devices > Mouse. First, there’s a toggle for “enhancing pointer position,”. Then, there’s a dropdown for “Scrolling direction,” offering the choice between “Down motion scrolls down” and its opposite.
Microsoft didn’t stop at just tweaking mouse settings. This update also brings many improvements, including fixes for Wi-Fi data transmission issues and those pesky memory leaks.
Plus, for those who love sharing content between our Windows PC and Android devices, the gradual rollout of an enhanced Windows Share feature is something to look forward to. Imagine seamlessly sharing content to your Android device from the Windows Share window—convenience at its best.
The new mouse scrolling direction and pointer position features were thought to be released only forWindows 11 24H2, but according to tech enthusiast@phantomofearth, Microsoft is releasing them for versions 23H2 and 22H2.
The new mouse options (scrolling direction, enhance pointer precision toggle) in Settings from recent Insider builds will be coming not just to version 24H2, but to 23H2/22H2 as well – they are present in today’s Beta build (22635.4076) but not rolling out just yet.https://t.co/jU0284Sc3lpic.twitter.com/yysz06nJM5
Whether you’re a hardcore gamer, a digital artist, or just someone who appreciates a smooth and responsive computing environment, these new mouse settings will surely enhance your Windows 11 experience.
