Meta doesn’t seem to compromise when adding new features to WhatsApp, be it smartphones or Windows users. Windows Latest inits latest reportconfirmed the same as Meta rolls three new features with the latest update for WhatsApp on Windows.
The latest update to WhatsApp’s Windows app includes three new features a hamburger menu, multi-window support for chats, and an adaptive interface. Let’s discuss these changes in detail starting from the multi-window support.
Windows 10 & 11 users can now use a multi-window feature on WhatsApp
With the latest update for Windows, Meta now adds a newPop-out chatoption to WhatsApp. Clicking on it opens a new chat window which is identical to Telegram’s new window feature.
Notably, when you choose this new option, the selected chat opens in a new window keeping aside all other features. In short, the individual chat windows opened by this feature offer a clean look given the UI is quite compact.
The next minor change that rolled out to the WhatsApp Windows app via the latest update is an adaptive UI. Now, the chat window takes center stage, and contact lists get hidden in the menu.
Earlier you could see contact lists and chat together when trying to make the app’s window more compact by resizing it. Honestly, things looked quite cluttered, but it will change now.
Lastly, there’s a new hamburger menu that expands three different options – Chats, Calls, and Status.
While the latest update is not the biggest for WhatsApp on Windows, it will surely improve how users interact on the desktop app. Not to forget, these new features are also available in the Stable version of the app.
More recently, the company added Meta AI to WhatsApp. While one can access the AI chatbot on their smartphone,Windows 11 users can use it with a workaround.
