Microsoft is now rolling out Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.4955, under KB5043131, to the Beta Channel and Release Preview Channel for Windows 10, version 22H2 Insiders. Both channels will receive identical builds, but Microsoft will experiment with new features not yet ready for all Windows 10 customers in the beta channel.
As you can see below, the update includes bug fixes for Windows Insiders in the Beta and Release Preview Channels.
KB5043131 fixed the Microsoft Entra single sign-on (SSO). This SSO notification, which the European Digital Markets Act (DMA) requires, pops up too frequently. This happens when you authenticate using a certificate.
The patch also fixed IE mode, as Microsoft Edge sometimes stopped responding when you used IE mode. The update updated COSA profiles for certain mobile operators, and it fixed a bug with Media playback, where playback of some media might stop when you use specific surround sound technology.
KB5043131 also fixes someFile Explorer and Taskbar in Windows 10: Windows stops responding when you use apps like File Explorer and the Taskbar.Windows Update opt-in notifications now appear when you sign in.
It’s worth mentioning that KB5043131 is the first Insider build released in two weeks, which is quite unusual for the Windows Insider Program, which regularly releases weekly builds.
The Redmond-based tech giant decided earlier in the summer to resume Insider builds for Windows 10, an operating system with a little over a year left. However, if you plan to stay on it, just know you can officiallyextend it up to three yearsandunofficially up to 2030.
