If you’ve been unable to update your Xbox One console properly, you should know you’re not the only one. Many other Xbox fans were also scratching their heads at this problem.
Some even questioned if their trusted gaming systems would end up as costly decorations on top shelves or expensive paperweights. However, Microsoft saved the day by solving a strange issue that prevented these consoles from updating if they used software before November 2018. It’s a relief.
The Xbox team member Jason Ronald posted this positive informationon his social media. He expressed gratitude to DigitalFoundry for bringing it up.
For players who were having issues updating their Xbox One consoles still running an OS build from November 2018 or earlier, this has been resolved. Thanks to the team@DigitalFoundryfor notifying us about this issue. Game on!
Now, all those users who couldn’t update their Xbox One can resume playing without difficulties; online functions like digital buys and multiplayer games can all be used just like before. This issue appeared to be related to the original Xbox One models. The smoother One S and the advanced One X versions passed without any problem.
In other news,Microsoft has also closed down the digital marketplace for Xbox 360. New games cannot be purchased anymore, but your current collection is secure. Additionally, Xbox One/Series owners can still get backward-compatible 360 titles.
