In October 2023, a strange bug appeared after Copilot was released to Windows 10 users. This bugmoved the icons on people’s desktops with multiple monitorswhen they used Copilot. Microsoft tried to lessen this annoyance by stopping these users from updating to Windows 11 for now or using Copilot on their systems.
WithMicrosoft’s KB5039299 update, a new Copilot experience has been introduced.According to the official health status blog post, it solves the icon-jumping bug and improves general Copilot usability by permitting it to be pinned onto the taskbar like any other standard application.
We are gradually rolling out a new Copilot experience for devices with Windows updates released June 25, 2024 () or later. This new experience will resolve this issue for Windows 10, version 22H2. This update () was released on June 25, 2024, and you can expect to receive the new Copilot experience between now and the coming months.
Nevertheless, it is important to understand that this fresh Copilot experience is being presented in phases. So, some individuals may need to wait a little longer before reveling in the advantages. Microsoft has made it clear that the deployment will persist over forthcoming months for devices possessing Windows updates published on or after June 25th, 2024.
However, just like any big software upgrade, not everything is perfect. Some peculiarities still exist in Windows 10, such as the Settings app’s refusal to let users change their local profile image anda bug that influences the Microsoft Connected Cache.
Equally important is Windows 11, which encountered its taskbar problems after June 2024 when non-security updates were released. Fortunately, the pause that happened with the downloads has been resolved now. It was done to handle big bugs found on systems using particular virtualization software.
