Microsoft has announced a bunch of new features specifically designed for meeting organizers and managers. For instance, the platform will soon prevent users from sharing content on externally hosted meetings,unless allowed by organizers and managers.
The same managers will also be able to quickly provide new employees witha list of curated Teams channelsto make their onboarding easier.
The latest addition to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap is no exception.According to the entry, starting in June 2024, organizers and managers will be able to designate other participants with the task of allowing attendees to join meetings.
In other words, Teams organizers can be in many places at once, by delegating some of their responsibilities to their subalterns.
Meeting organizers will have options in the meeting settings on who can admit attendees from the lobby into the meeting.
The feature will greatly enhance productivity, especially in situations where the manager can’t be around to take care of certain responsabilities. By allowing them to designate other participants as being able to decide who can participate into meeting, Teams becomes a versatile app capable of offering solutions in any kind of situations.
Most likely, the new Microsoft Teams settings can be enabled/disabled, and organizers can decide if certain meetings can be trusted upon another employee or not.
Either way, the new feature, together with the other ones mentioned earlier in this article, is a good incentive for companies to get Teams for their infrastructure.
