SharePoint will let admins compare their organization’s site with other sites for similar files, elements, and visuals by using AI. According to the entry to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, this new capability will be previewed in October 2024, with a full rollout scheduled to happen the following month, in November 2024.
Admins will be able to use it to identify similar sites or study the competition, and the capability will provide them with a report that contains a percentage of how similar the sites are compared to the original.
The AI will also suggest recommendations and directions to follow in SharePoint to implement the same settings and policies to the original site and vice versa.
Here’swhat the entrysays:
Secure sites by identifying sites with “similar files” and identifying different policies and settings. Admin now choose a site and compare the contents with ALL other sites. The report provides a percentage on how similar the contents of the sites are and then compares the settings. This helps admin to identify and administer same/similar settings and policies to similar sites all using the power of AI.
Interestingly, Microsoft doesn’t mention anything about Copilot, even though the capability is an AI-based one.
Speaking of the AI model, the week has already brought huge news for those using it. Microsoft introducedCopilot agentsandCopilot pages, each with its own set of exciting capabilities.
For instance, Copilot agents can be built in-house and can be tailored to fit each company’s needs. On the other hand, Copilot pages will enhance collaboration and teamwork.
