Sabrent launched the Rocket Nano 2242 Gen 4 NVMe, an M.2 2242 form factor SSD. The company created the hardware to fit small devices like the Lenovo Legion Go and different NUCs. In addition, the SSD can reach speeds up to 5GB/s. Also, it uses the Phison E27T controller and Kioxia’s BiCS6 162-layer TLC NAND. The Sabrent SSD isavailable for $99.99.
What you need to know about Rocket Nano 2242
Compared to the M.2 2230, the M.2 2242 form factor of Rocket Nano 2242 Gen 4 NVMe is less common. However, it has a greater capacity than the 2230 models and holds twice the NAND flash memory. In addition, its popularity is rising due toLenovo Legion Goand newer devices that need more storage.
Currently, the storage capacity of the Rocket Nano SSD is 1TB. Additionally, the form factor of M.2 2230 is 40% larger than the 2230. So, theform factorshould make it possible for future models to be 2TB and even 4TB.
