Back in the 90’s Tomb Raider revolutionized the third-person action genre. However, the game was never released on Nintendo 64, prompting Bits Studios to make its clone of the game.

The game was called Riqa, but unfortunately, the game was scrapped and nobody got the chance to play it, until today.

Developers have released builds of Riqa allowing you to play it for the first time

In case you’re not familiar, Bits Studios developed several popular games in the early 2000s, including Rogue Ops, Die Hard: Vendetta, and Constantine game.

AsPC Gamer writes, in the 90’s the company was working on Riqa, a Tomb Raider clone for Nintendo 64, and the game was showcased at E3 in 1999. The game never got past the prototype stage and it was eventually canceled.

One of the game designers, Ten Shu has been showing various builds of the game on his YouTube channel, and he even decided to allow you to download them and play them with a Nintendo 64 emulator.

Ten Shu was also kind enough to release a video showing you how to play Riqa on your PC, with step-by-step instructions.

This is a great move by the developers and their fans, so if you’re looking for a retro adventure, give Riqa a try.
