Microsoft has just updated PowerToys to version 0.82, which includes many new characteristics and enhancements that promise to improve the user experience even further.

One of the important updates is a fresh feature added in PowerRename, enabling users to utilize random characters along with UUIDs when renaming files. This will greatly assist those who desire extra adaptability and command in managing their file names.

Additionally, the update shows substantial enhancements in the Paste As JSON feature. It now handles CSV delimiters more effectively and allows conversion from ini files, making it more useful for users and increasing its attractiveness.

PowerToys 0.82 also fixed many crashes reported before and UI problems after shifting to WPF UI on Color Picker and PowerToys Run.

Additionally, dozens of alterations have been made to improve PowerToys’ performance and correct issues with different parts, such as Advanced Paste or Quick Accent.

For people who are excited to try these enhancements themselves, updating to PowerToys 0.82 is simple. You can do it by using the Settings menu ordownloading the installer from GitHub.

With its ongoing development, PowerToys shows Microsoft’s dedication to providing users with robust and flexible instruments that meet different requirements and likings. Some of its features, suchas the customizable Calendar, are available in Windows 10/11.
