New Outlook for Windows and Web will soon add the option to split the month view, allowing users to manage multiple calendars at once. The new capability, simply called Split View, will be added to the platform in June, according tothe latest entryin the Microsoft 365 Roadmap.

Users will be able to enable the option when viewing multiple calendars in the monthly view, and the screen will automatically split, showcasing the calendars side by side, for more efficient management.

When viewing multiple calendars in month view, users will be able to select “split view” to see those calendars displayed side by side. This feature will be available in new Outlook for Windows and web. #newoutlookforwindows

For now, Outlook is only able to showcase multiple calendars in the same view, often creating confusion, especially when multiple events are happening in a single day. Even though each calendar can be customized with different colors, managing them can be hard when done on a single page.

For those who prefer a more separate method, the new Split View in Outlook can be the perfect method. The calendars will be split in a side-to-side display, allowing you to manage one calendar while looking at the other one, parallelly.

Speaking of design in Outlook, the Redmond-based tech giant will also update the platform to support customized backgroundthemes generated by Copilot. The new capability will be introduced in July 2024, and it will be available to all Android, and iOS users.
