Opera is overhauling the mini player for its built-in music player, which appears when you hover over the player button. The redesign for themini-playeris currently being tested in the Opera developer version. Here’s how you can enable, use, and enjoy it!
Opera browser comes with a built-in music player in the sidebar. This player can access music from popular platforms like Apple Music, Gaana, YouTube Music, and Spotify. It can also play podcasts in the background. This feature allows you to listen to music while you work.
But that’s not all! Hovering over the player button reveals a mini-player. This mini-player lets you skip forward and backward through your playlist or music without switching to the full player interface. You can also pause playback using the mini-player. The mini-player also allows you to pause playback with ease.
Opera tests a redesign for Mini Player for Music Playback
Currently, Opera is redesigning this mini-player in their developer version. This means the new design is being tested “behind a flag,” a feature hidden until users specifically enable it. This testing phase allows Opera to gather feedback and ensure the redesigned mini player is user-friendly and improves the overall music listening experience.

How to enable and use the redesigned Mini Music Player in the Opera browser
Click on Player on the sidebar, select a music service, play something, and hover over the Player button to see the mini player’s new UI.
