According to arecent press release, OpenAI made an agreement for partnership with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to strengthen Microsoft Azure AI platform. The importance of this collaboration lies in its scope for expansion. OpenAI, which is responsible for ChatGPT’s success, wants to extend its influence and potentialities; they are aiming towards OCI as a means of achieving this goal.
Microsoft’s Azure AI platform will benefit from Oracle’s Supercluster
Sam Altman, the big boss at OpenAI, has expressed his excitement about the partnership with Microsoft and Oracle. He thinks that OCI’s extension will make a big difference for Azure’s platform, providing OpenAI with an opportunity to expand in ways it never has before. Larry Ellison who leads Oracle also shares this sentiment of Sam Altman. He is throwing out the gauntlet, stating that the pursuit to construct the great large language model is creating huge requirement for Oracle’s AI infrastructure.
However, the crucial point is this: OCI has also attracted other major investments, indicating that it is becoming a significant hub for AI innovation. A multitude of AI explorers from different sectors are selecting OCI as their preferred choice to operate their AI workloads, from those in the list named Adept to xAI. OCI Supercluster is being used by these creators of change to extend the limits of what artificial intelligence can accomplish.
