In recent developments, Microsoft introduced an inline video playback feature in thenew Outlook for Windowsand Outlook on the Web. This feature allows you to share Microsoft Stream videos in your emails, allowing email recipients to watch the embedded videos right in their inboxes.

This step will improve the engagement of media and will make sure your message is seen by the recipients across the company.

How does it work?

Open Outlook on the web on your preferred browser or launch the new Outlook for Windows. Click New mail to start composing an email, then copy and paste a stream video share link into the body.

Another option would be to attach a video from OneDrive or upload & share a video to OneDrive. Once pasted, the link will change to an embedded media player.

In case you want to change the embedded video to a link, right-click the video file name from the inline player, then chooseLink Styles>Link

You can also manage the video permissions by right-clicking the video file name at the top of the inline player.

To use this feature, you need to have a reliable internet connection and use the new Outlook for Windows or Outlook on the web. Also, the video you need to send should be saved in OneDrive or SharePoint. Soon, the feature will be available in Outlook for Windows (Classic).
