Microsoft is constantly improving Windows 11 with new features, and speaking of which, the new Build 26212 for Windows 11 was recently released to the Canary Channel.
The new build has some new hidden features, related to user privacy and AI, so today we’re going to take a closer look at them.
Windows 11 Build 26212 comes with new AI privacy and security settings
According to Windows Latest, there’s a new option in Privacy & security settings in this build called Recalls and snapshots.
This was first spotted on X, formerly Twitter, by user Albacore.
Text in this preview build suggests that the “AI Explorer” umbrella term may not be used publicly after all. ✨? The page for tweaking privacy settings of the new AI smarts is simply called “Recall and snapshots.” Guess they want to highlight individual features instead.?pic.twitter.com/kUln70RsWH
It is speculated that this section will be used for tweaking privacy settings on the upcoming AI integration.
Recall AI has also been spotted on LinkedIn profiles of alleged Microsoft employees, which leads many to speculate what this could be. Many believe that Recall could be used for branding the AI integration in Windows 11.
This build also fixes File Explorer bugs, so be sure to get it if you’re on the Canary channel. Microsoft has also releasedWindows Server Preview Build 26212, so don’t miss it.
