Genuine Solutions completes management buyout and appoints new CEO

Mobile industry services firm Genuine Solutions has appointed Paul Crossman as its new chief executive following a management buyout. Crossman joined the business as part of the Relove Technology acquisition and replaces founder Christian McBride who will remain as a shareholder.

PwC fined £1.8m over BT Italy fraud

PWC has received a £1.75 million fine for failing to properly scrutinise BT’s accounts in 2017. BT eventually uncovered an accounting scandal that resulted in a £513 million write down.

Vodafone exits Hungarian mobile market

Operator Vodafone has agreed the sale of its Hungarian business to 4iG and Corvinus for €1.8 billion. The aim of the new combined entity is to create a Hungarian-owned national champion in the ICT sector, capable of challenging the Deutsche Telekom-owned Magyar Telekom.

Three appoints new chief network officer

Three hasappointedIain Milligan as its new chief network officer as the company seeks to continue the recent progress it has made in the deployment of its 5G infrastructure. He replaces Carlo Melis, who is taking up a position as Chief Technology Officer at Wind Tre, the Italian operator also owned by Three’s parent CK Hutchison.
