When Microsoft first started focusing on the software side of gaming and subsequently releasedXbox exclusives on other consoles, many were skeptical, calling it the end of Xbox. But as it turns out, things look promising for Microsoft, with its games outselling Sony-owned titles on thePlayStation Store.

First reported byDerek Stricklandon Tweaks Town, Microsoft presently has 7 titles compared to Sony’s 5 in the top 25 best-selling games list. This includes games from studios recently acquired by Microsoft, such asActivision Blizzard, a deal valued at $69 billion.

Sea of ThievesandGroundedwere two Xbox exclusives recently released on PlayStation.

Sony, on the other hand, has not shown much interest in bringing its exclusive titles to the Xbox console, although games likeHelldivers 2did make it to the PC.

Concerning the future of Xbox, reports suggest that thenext Xbox will be more like a PC, allowing users to play a wider set of games from different platforms. This will surely be something to look out for and may help Xbox reclaim the lost share in the console market!
