After 17 years of work as head of Windows and devices design at Microsoft, Ralf Groene announced his retirementon LinkedIn. It’s a big thing because for the past ten years, Groen has been the main architect designer for the Surface tablets and Windows OS and apps.

Groene received a lot of praises for his move but his friends who worked with him at Google and Microsoft doubted that he will just enjoy his retirement and he agreed. Therefore, we might see him soon joining another project.

As much as we respect Groene’s work, we’ve had a lot of great ideas aboutWindows 11’s designand a new chief designer might appreciate and consider them for the futureWindows 12.

All that considered, we can’t wait to see what Groene will do next and we will keep you posted with new developments.
