Want to watch an interesting video about cars in a foreign language, but you don’t have subtitles to it?

Worry no more, because Microsoft will introduce the AI-based Live Captions to Windows later this year, meaning you can virtually watch any video in any language, and the capability will translate it for you instantly.

At the Microsoft Event 2024, taking place earlier today, the Redmond-based tech giant unveiled the exciting feature as part of theWindows 11 2024 Update(also known as Windows 11 24H2), which is coming later this year.

With it,Live Captions will turn any audio that passes through your PC into a single live translation feature,says Microsoft.

More than 40 languages will be available to select from on Windows devices, including Spanish, Mandarin, or Russian, and the capability will be available across any video calling app, any entertainment app, translated locally across the NPU.
