Microsoft will enhance the New Outlook with automatic meeting artifacts

Remember a while ago when we told you thatMicrosoft Teams users will have access to a set of meeting recaps and meeting artifacts?

Well, you should know the feature is also coming to Microsoft Outlook.In a recent entry to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, the Redmond-based tech giant unveiled that the company will enhance Microsoft Outlook to support these artifacts in August.

Participants will only have to get into the meeting. After the meeting ends, they will automatically receive a set of artifacts in the calendar for the new Outlook on Windows and the web.

The set will include a recap page for the meeting, the recording, the transcript, and all the files shared in that meeting. Those accessing the Intelligent Recap feature will also get a document containing all the important notes, such as name mentions, number of speakers, suggested tasks, etc.

Shortly after a meeting ends, meeting participants will automatically get a set of all the meeting artifacts in the calendar for the new Outlook in Windows and web. Included in this set is a quick entry point to the meeting recap page, the transcript, the recording, and any files that were shared. For users with access to intelligent meeting recap, in addition to the entry point to intelligent recap in Microsoft Teams, users will also see highlights like number of speakers, number of name mentions, and suggested tasks directly within Microsoft Outlook.

The feature will be more than useful to those who don’t want to take the extra steps to get the same documents from Microsoft Teams.

With it, Outlook will present them to you instead, sparing you the time wasted looking for them. This could greatly improve and streamline productivity and collaboration.

Since the new feature is also tied to Outlook Calendar, it’s good to know that the section will be easier to navigate around the same time, thanks to a series of changes Microsoft plans to release.
