Microsoft unveils a much faster method to sync your Forms with Excel, and it only takes seconds

Microsoft announced a new solution for syncing responses from Forms to Excel. The new solution improves reliability and performance. The older syncing method, currently available in some Forms, will be entirely replaced by the new solution by January 13th, 2025.

After January 13th, 2025, the older syncing solution will not update your Excel workbook with new responses. However, any existing workbooks and their data will be retained.

You’ll need to upgrade to the new syncing solution to ensure your workbooks continue to receive new form responses.

For instance, if you have an Excel for the web workbook that uses the older syncing solution, you’ll see a pane on the right side prompting you to update the workbook to continue syncing new responses.

Clicking on the Update sync button will begin the updating process. Using the new syncing solution, a new sheet will be created in the same workbook connected to the Form. All previous responses will be resynced to this new sheet, and any new reactions will be synced.

The new solution for syncing form responses to Microsoft Excel is available for Excel for the web, OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online customers. You can read more about ithere.
