Organizers and presenters will soon be able to chat privately and securely, away from the other attendees, in a private chat channel coming to Microsoft Teams in June 2024, according to the latest entry in theMicrosoft 365 Roadmap.
They will have access to the private chat channel before, during, and after events, and it’s a good way to keep everything under control, without attendees seeing a thing.
Organizers, co-organizers, and presenters can chat privately in a separate chat from attendees. This chat is available to access before, during, and after the event.
The new private chat channel will be available on desktop, and Mac platforms, meaning organizers and presenters accessing Teams from different devices, such as Windows or Mac devices, will be able to communicate in the same private channel.
As we mentioned earlier, this new feature is actually useful, as it gives all the Microsoft Teams organizers and managers a safe place to discuss the event without having attendees know what’s going on behind the scenes.
Speaking of managers, the Redmond-based tech giant also announced that Teams will be getting a newBookable Desks featurethat will allow users to book their desks right from the platform, without having to talk with management about it. This new feature is coming to the platform next month, in May.
What do you think about these features coming to Teams?
