You might already know some AI tools in Microsoft Teams: Copilot, for instance, or the Intelligent Recap, which lets you process recorded Teams meetings easier and faster.

Well, you should know that Microsoft is planning to add the new AI-powered Intelligent Call Recap to your Teams calls soon, allowing you to easily keep track of everything that’s discussed in the call, automatically.

According to the latest entry inthe Microsoft 365 Roadmap, Teams Premium users will be able to use the feature to have it cover the call, extracting information and notes, while letting you pay attention to the discussion. In other words, AI will take notes for you so you won’t have to.

Transcription will have to be enabled for this feature to work, but once that is done, you won’t have to worry about not noting everything down.

Here’s what the entry says:

The Calls app in Teams will soon have AI-generated notes and action items from your calls, so you can pay attention to your conversations and save time coordinating next steps. Intelligent call recap will work for both VoIP and PSTN calls, and summaries will be generated from calls for which transcription was enabled.

The feature will be added to Teams in June 2024, almost a year after the introduction of the Intelligent Recap feature, basically one of the first AI-powered capabilities to be introduced to Microsoft Teams.

Intelligent Recapis a tool that leverages AI to provide a detailed overview of your professional meetings, and it summarizes calls for you with important keynotes and a detailed map of all the speakers. Plus, at the end, it also generates suggestions and recommendations. Microsoft also added it toTeams Mobile.

The new Intelligent Call Recap on Teams is no different, but it does it while you attend the meeting, basically, providing you with notes as you participate in the meeting.
