Microsoft will be changing the way Teams users leave feedback about the platform’s capabilities, starting June 2024, according to the latest entry in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap.
The new updates to the Teams feedback policies will see the Give Feedback/Suggest a Feature app within the platform not using Teams policies anymore. Instead, they will regulated through the Cloud policy service in Microsoft 365.
Teams Desktop and Teams for the Web users will both be impacted by these changes, which aim to unify all of the Microsoft 365 apps under a new feedback umbrella.

We are updating the Settings menu for “Help & Feedback” and the in-app “Give Feedback/Suggest a Feature” experience for Teams Desktop & Web clients. Teams Desktop and Web clients will no longer use Microsoft Teams feedback policies for the in-app “Give Feedback/Suggest a Feature” experience, and instead use the Cloud Policy service for Microsoft 365.
The new policies effectively label Microsoft Teams as a Microsoft 365 app, even though in some regionsTeams won’t be distributed alongside the 365 Suite, so it will be interesting to see how these new changes will be implemented in those cases.
With this update Microsoft seeks to improve the way feedback is collected and managed in the Teams Desktop and Web clients, to enhance the user experience and ensure that user suggestions are effectively addressed.
Previously, the Teams Desktop and Web clients used specific feedback policies set by Microsoft Teams. However, starting in June 2024, the Teams Desktop and Web clients will use the Cloud Policy service for Microsoft 365, and they have to be aware of the change.
The Redmond-based tech giant will most likely remind Teams users of the change, as the date approaches, so they can prepare for it, and agree to the new terms.
