Since the pandemic, Microsoft Teams has been facilitating hybrid work and communication, intending to make them more seamless and inclusive than ever before, whether it is creating meaningful connections via end-to-end event platforms, large-scale one-to-many digital events, or one-to-one meetings.

Microsoft introduced a new digital streaming event solution focusing on large events, Town Hall, in September 2023, and the Redmond tech giant has been working on evolving it with new and exciting features, including bringing multiple presenters on stage, accessing real-time health analytics for events and sending attendee emails,

This time, the company discussed its plans for Teams’ digital event platforms for the upcoming year, including two big news.

Based on customer feedback, Microsoft plans to support Teams Live Events until Town Hall gets the new features mentioned on the Town Hall adoption page, which are:

This shows the company’s commitment to making the transition seamless and useful for customers. Earlier, Microsoft was planning to retire the Teams Live Events in September 2024 but according to this new update, you can continue to use it to schedule instances beyond this date.

However, the company encourages users to upgrade to Town Hall and take advantage of new features as and when they are ready for the transition.
