Microsoft recently rolled out the latest version, i.e., 22403, of Microsoft Store to the general public. It majorly involvedapp performance and speed improvements.

Another interesting feature related to free apps displayed on the home page was disclosed by Rudy Huyn, Principal Architect at Microsoft andMicrosoft Storedevelopment team member onhis X (formerly known as Twitter) account.

In the post, he mentioned that due to the new update, any applications or games installed via the Store on the computer will not be as visible as on the Store’s Home page.

New: Applications and games already installed on your device will now be less visible/deprioritized on the home pages, making it easier for you to discover new apps! You can still access the full & ordered top algo-lists by clicking on the module title.#MicrosoftStorepic.twitter.com/dJb7ec1POb

According to Huyn, the feature is meant to help you discover new apps easily within the Microsoft Store. However, as Huyn mentioned, you can see the full algorithmic app lists by clicking on the modular title.

Lately, the Microsoft Store has been getting all sorts of updates. In March 2024, it added aWhat’s Newsection that shows the latest apps on the store.
