Microsoft has decided toexpand the Microsoft Rewards programto more than 230 countries and regions. For the uninitiated, it is a handy program that lets you earn loyalty points for using the company’s products and services like Bing, Microsoft Edge, and more.
Benefits? Well, you can redeem loyal points for various purposes like shopping and more.
Microsoft expands Microsoft Rewards program across 230 regions and countries
On May 15, the company took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce that it is expanding Microsoft Rewards to users across 230 regions and countries, including Morocco and Israel. This means now the rewards program is available to all 7 continents.

Although the program is quite handy, manyusers have raised concernsregarding recent changes introduced around it by the company. This includes acooldown periodintroduced to the program by Microsoft.
Since Microsoft introduced this change, users only have 3 searches per 15 minutes to collect loyalty points. The company earlier suggested that these changes are part of routine updates that allow for improving how users redeem their loyalty points.
That’s not all, Microsoft evendiscontinued the Xbox Rewards appin April, eventually getting rid of weekly streaks. However, it seems the Microsoft Rewards program is getting better now as it expands to more countries.
The rewards program is also getting streak restore and protection feature
In addition to expanding Microsoft Rewards, the company is also adding two new features to improve users’ engagement with daily streak bonuses.
Microsoft says thateligible users who accidentally miss a day can restore their streak once every 60 daysusing the streak restore feature. Whereas, users with a 100-day streak can restore it once every month.
Additionally, the company is adding a streak protection feature to the Microsoft Rewards program. When you enable this feature, it will protect your streak and prevent it from getting lost. Users will have 14 days per calendar year of streak protection.
It is worth noting that if you complete your streak when the streak protection is turned on, it won’t count against your quota of days. Earlier users had raised concerns regarding the same.
Microsoft has also talked about expanding the ability to donate your Microsoft Rewards points. Adding more to the original post on X, Microsoft highlighted the changes related to donating your loyalty points. You can check it below.
We’ve also expanded the ability to donate your#MicrosoftRewardspoints to over 200 markets, making it easy for you to support the causes you care about. Members can donate points to over 1.8 million charities.
Lastly, if you are a program member and search the internet with Bing on Edge browser for 3 days, you can access 3 months of Super Duolingo for free, all thanks to Microsoft and Duolingo’s partnership.
