Microsoft has finally announced theWindows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024this week. To remind you, itearlier got leakedin February. The company has now published the minimum system requirements and categorized them as Preferred and Optional. That’s not all, we also have minimum processor requirements for Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024.
AsTom’s Hardwarenotes this specification will help decide design decisions for new devices and computers powered by Windows IoT Enterprise. For the uninitiated, Windows 11 IoT Enterprise is the full-fledged version of Windows Enterprise and is there for fixed-purpose devices including ATMs, kiosks, and more.
Notably, this Windows version is not for regular PCs or laptops, but for tailor-made devices requiring an operating system. We have listed thesystem requirements for the Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024below, have a look.
System Requirements for Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024
The minimum requirement above highlights that Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 can run on computing devices with as little as 16GB storage. Plus, the Secure Boot and TPM requirements are optional for this Windows version. Microsoft has also added SSD as a preferred minimum system requirement which was rumored since 2022.
What’s more interesting is that this Windows version will support some Qualcomm processors for the first time. The included support was expected as Microsoft recentlylaunched Surface laptops powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon X EliteArm-based processor.
