Microsoft released a new update for Edge for users in the Stable channel, bumping the version to 123.0.2420.97. You can now download and install the new version, which fixed the browser crash related to Microsoft Edge Sync.

Here is what it says in the release notes:

Microsoft has released the latestMicrosoft Edge Stable Channel (Version 123.0.2420.97)which incorporates the latest Security Updates of the Chromium project.

Fixed various bugs and performance issues, improved reliability.

The 123.0.2420.97 update includes security patches for three fixes for Chromium vulnerabilities of high severity; here are the details of them

To find out the current version of Edge on your computer, click the three-dot icon, select Settings, and then About Microsoft Edge. To manually update, navigate to About Microsoft Edge, and it will check for updates and then check and install the newest version for you.

Earlier, Microsoft released an update to patch another security vulnerabilityunder CVE-2024–21388; this lets attackers remotely install extensions.
