This is a good day for those commercial users waiting for the new Microsoft Office LTSC 2024: the suite is officially in commercial preview for Windows and Mac users.

We are pleased to announce that thecommercial preview of Microsoft Office LTSC 2024 is now availablefor both Windows and Mac. Office LTSC is built for specialized use cases that require a long-term servicing channel such as regulated devices that cannot accept feature updates for years at a time, manufacturing process control devices that are not connected to the internet, or medical testing equipment running embedded apps that must stay locked in time.

According to the announcement, Microsoft Office LTSC 2024 will also have a subset of features that are already available in Microsoft 365, but previously unavailable to the Office suite, which means many of them will be useful in modern situations.

Office LTSC 2024 will include features from past Office releases as well as a subset of new features already available in Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise.

The Redmond-based tech giant also said that Windows 11 LTSC is going to be released later this year, confirming the operating system. Together with the new Microsoft Office 2024, both services will be supported for a total of 5 years, under theFixed Lifecycle Policy.

This means commercial customers will be able to use these services until 2029, with full support from Microsoft, and regular updates.

Speaking of which, commercial customers are now able to preview the following suites:

Microsoft announced the previewa while ago, and it stated back then that the suite would be updated to deal with modern issues and infrastructures, introducing new features to Excel, and Outlook to keep up with the current demands.
