Microsoftis celebrating the 40th anniversary of Microsoft Flight Simulator, the company’s longest-running game franchise, with the release of an expanded edition of the game.

This new edition introduces helicopters, gliders and a bunch of classic aircraft to the game. The world premiere trailer, announcing the new edition, shows the return of aircraft from previous Microsoft Flight Simulator games, including the Spirit of Saint Louis monoplane, the Emerald Harbor Air commercial aircraft, the NR77V racing airplane and more. They’ll all be available in this new anniversary edition of the game.

In addition to the reveal of Microsoft Flight Simulator 40th Anniversary Edition, Microsoft also revealed thatHalo Infinite’s Pelican is now available as a free add-on for the base version of the game. Personally, we can’t wait to fly over London in a Pelican, it certainly beats a traditional commercial liner. Check out the trailer, and the aircraft, in action below:

The Microsoft Flight Simulator 40th Anniversary edition will release in November 2022 forXbox Series X,Xbox Series Sand PC. It’ll be available onXbox Game Passon day one but will also be free to those who already haveMicrosoft Flight Simulator (2020).
