Microsoft Edge’s Magnify Image now supports AI capabilities that will enhance image quality from low to crystal clear

Microsoft Edge was updated to supportMagnify Imagea while ago, and the feature allows users to magnify images straight in the Edge browser without opening them in a new tab and zooming in.

It seems that now, the Redmond-based tech giant will add some AI-powered capabilities to the Magnify Image capability in Edge that will let users enhance image quality from low to high. According to the findings of the tech enthusiast,@Leopeva64, the new capability is already enabled in Edge Canary, but it’s not functional.

It can be accessed by selecting an image, magnifying it, and then using AI to enhance it, as you can see in the image below.

Users will have to wait a few seconds, but the feature should enhance the image to a higher quality than it was before.

As we said earlier, the feature is currently non-functional, which means Microsoft did not intend to release it just yet. As the AI-powered Magnify Image is currently Edge Canary, the capability might not see the light of day, but that is a small chance, given how invested Microsoft is in everything AI.

Speaking of AI and Edge, the browser will also support Designer as its image editor, and it will be capable of Generative Erase, a feature that was first introduced in the Windows Photos app. With it, users will be able to edit images directly in Microsoft Edge, by removing unwanted objects from them.

Users will only need to select the highlit area provided by the Designer, and the tool will the rest. Once the object is removed, the Designer will automatically fill the void using AI, and the results are quite impressive.

These capabilities will most likely be available in the next weeks, giving users a plethora of free ways to edit their images fast and professionally.
