Microsoft debuts new Insider Community on Skype, but you’ll need to sign an NDA to join it

Skype has been enhanced with many amazing capabilities lately, slowly bringing the app more in tune with the current messaging apps, such as WhatsApp and Messenger. FromContent Channelstocamera enhancements, all of these features were first previewed in the Skype Insider Community before going live on the stable channel.

So, if you’re a Skype user and want to experience more capabilities, especially those the Redmond-based tech giant is currently working on, Microsoft has a proposition for you. Join the Skype Insider Group on… wait for it… Skype.

You’ll not only be able to experience the new features ahead of everyone else, but you’ll also be able to contribute feedback and provide insights for the Skype Team. In other words, you can help build new features, changes, and enhancements for Skype users.

Plus, the Redmond-based tech giant promises other perks. In a blog post, Microsoft says you’ll be able to participate in interactive discussions with other Insiders.

However, to do so, you’ll need to sign an NDA. Yes, you heard that right. Microsoft says it’s for good reason, as the company will try to create an open environment where sensitive information is freely shared within that space.

To create a more open and collaborative environment, an NDA will be a requirement within this group. This allows us to share updates and information more freely, both in the group and during our Community Calls.

Microsoft might ask you for some demographic information, but this is entirely optional and will not affect your experience as an Insider.

If you’re used to NDAs and you already use Skype frequently, you should try it. Otherwise, it might not be worth it.
