And by automatically, we mean that now Clipchamp will clean your videos of long silences in just a matter of seconds.According to the official blog post, Microsoft added a new AI-powered capability that will detect long periods of silence and suggest the user push a button and clean them all.
The new capability is called Silence Removal, and it’s perfect when editing video podcasts, for example, something that Microsoft wants users to use Clipchamp for. In fact, in a previous update, Microsoft addeda bunch of audio-related featuresjust for that.
This new AI feature in Clipchamp can remove long boring silences in a snap. Silence removal allows you to find, trim anddelete the silent parts of audioor video files. This is perfect for anyone who wants to tidy up their podcasts, meetings, interview videos and voiceovers, without having to spend hours tediously editing out silences bit by bit.
Users will be able to let AI detect these periods of silence, and they can choose to review and remove them one by one, or all at once.
The best thing? Silence Removal is available for free to all users with a personal account.
And, in case you need an intro and an outro for your podcasts when you edit in Microsoft Clipchamp, the Redmond-based tech giant has you covered with a packet full of over 200 new exclusive stock audio tracks, all copyright-free, and free to use for all users with a personal account.
