Snapdragon is dominating the market and many are impatiently waiting to see devices running on the latest Snapdragon processor.

It seems that MediaTek and NVIDIA are working on a new chip that will challenge the Snapdragon X Elite series.

MediaTek and NVIDIA to bring Snapdragon X Elite competitor

We already wrote aboutMediaTek and NVIDIA collaborationa while ago, so it’s no surprise to see that they are working on a chip that will rival new series from Snapdragon.

Speaking of which,Snapdragon X Elite benchmark resultswere pretty impressive, so MediaTek will have to bring out the big guns if it wants to compete with it.

AsWccftech writes, the upcoming chip will support advanced technologies and it will be produced on TSMC’s 3nm process.

It’s worth mentioning that Apple’s M4 chips are based on TSMC’s second-generation 3nm technology, so the upcoming chip from MediaTek might even rival the M4.

TSMC will also utilize its CoWoS (Chip-on-wafer-on-substrate) packaging for the upcoming chips.

As for availability, we’ll still have to wait for a while as design verification is expected to occur in the fourth quarter and production will start in the first half of 2025. As for pricing, the expected price is set at $300 per chip.

As for Snapdragon, many manufacturers are adopting its chips, andIntel has a lineup with Elite X chipsready to ship this summer.
