Over the years, we saw all sorts of new and interesting features added to Chrome, and it seems that a new feature has been found and is available for testing.

With this new feature, you’ll be able to use videos for performing searches, so let’s take a closer look at it and see how it works.

You can now use video frames to perform Google searches in Chrome Canary

As you know, Chrome has been testing the ability to save frames from videos in the past, but it seems that Google has more plans for video frames, according to Leopeva64 on X:

The “Search video frame with Google” option is now also ENABLED BY DEFAULT in Chrome (Canary and Dev):https://t.co/N1zJwK9ffR.https://t.co/1qiEkKmRwUpic.twitter.com/p055LTENHM

As you can see, in addition to the option to save video frames, now there’s an option available to search video frames with Google whenever you right-click a video.

That video frame will be used to perform an image search on Google allowing you to find more information about the content of the video.

The feature is now available by default in Chrome Canary, and we have no information on when will it land in the stable version.

As for other improvements,Google is also testing the tab groups menu in Chromeand itstracking protection for Chromeis also ready for rollout, so many great features are coming our way.
