AMD and Intel dominate the current CPU market, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any competitors available.
It seems that homegrown Chinese CPUs are catching up in performance to their global counterparts, and speaking of which, Loongson has just announced two new models.
Newly announced Loongson CPUs can allegedly rival Intel 10th Gen CPUs
Loongson has revealed its next-generation octa-core CPUs, 3B6600 and 3B7000, that are intended for the Chinese market, asTom’s Hardware writes.
It is no surprise to see more Chinese CPUs afterChina banned Intel and AMD chips in government PCs.
According to the manufacturer, its CPUs are behind the competition regarding multicore performance, however, single-core performance has been improved, and it’s allegedly 20 times better than before.

While these CPUs sound decent, they are outshined by AMD and Intel with ease. As for availability, we expect to see them available in China someday in the future.
