Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is probably the most popular entry in the Zelda series due to its unique mechanics and great story.
If you’re a fan of the series, you’ll be pleased to hear that the game has received an unofficial, fan-made, PC port.
Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask got ported to PC by fans
Playing Nintendo 64 games on PC is possible thanks to emulation, but asNiche Gamer writes, you won’t need to rely on that for Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask.
This is an unofficial port made by Mr Wiseguy, and you can findZelda64Recomp on his GitHub page. It’s important to mention that the game is not emulated, instead it runs natively on PC.
This allows gamers to use features such as higher framerate, widescreen support, and autosaving. This is all possible thanks toN64Recomp which lets you recompile and run N64 games natively on PC.
Using this tool, anyone can take N64 binary, convert it into C code, and then run it on any platform without using an emulator.
While it’s impressive that we can finally play Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask natively on PC, it remains to be seen how Nintendo will respond to this.
If you’re a fan of Nintendo and its handheld, the latest rumors suggest thatSwitch 2 will have 12GB of RAM and an 8-inch screen, which is a major improvement over the previous model.
