Microsoft released new builds for Windows 11, specifically versions 22621.3951 and 22631.3951, or KB5040527, to people in the Release Preview Channel. The updates are significant, with fresh features and enhancements coming to Windows insiders.
Firstly, for Windows users in China using Windows Share, you should turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to ensure nearby sharing works well. Windows will gently remind you to turn them on if they’re switched off. But remember, this feature is rolling out in stages, so patience is key.
Have you ever wished for a File Explorer tab that could be copied with a right-click? Your wish has been answered. For those who prefer their apps close by, simply drag them from the Pinned section in the Start menu onto the taskbar.
KB5040527 also focused on making File Explorer more reliable by fixing annoying crashes and hangs. Some memory leaks and unexpected behaviors have been fixed, too, so you won’t need to wonder anymore.
Have you ever experienced the “End Task” button not giving a warning before closing down an unresponsive program? They have updated the logic, making it smoother for those who enabled this under the For Developers settings.
However, Microsoft’s efforts don’t stop there. With KB5040527, the company also focuses on fixing issues related to high CPU usage and packet loss in TCP/IP. Additionally, the Redmond-based tech giant has resolved communication problems with the Universal Print service for those who use it professionally. For gaming enthusiasts and Bluetooth users alike, these updates ensure a smooth experience.
In other news, this week has been busy for Insiders: from thenew Windows 11 24H2 ISOsfor clean installations to the latestupdates released to the Canary channel, Microsoft has made sure the Windows Insider program is well and running.
Do you like it? Or, maybe, have you already experienced these changes?
