Microsoft recently releaseda series of updates to the Windows Insider Program, including a fresh Beta Channel build for Windows 11 Insiders. This new KB5039327 fixes some bugs causing trouble, such as unwanted guests at the party. It tackles problems such as a GPU idle power bug, Storage Spaces Direct issues, a Group Policy bug, and File Explorer-related matters. Microsoft seemed to be on an all-out hunt for bugs, ensuring Windows 11 runs more smoothly than ever before.

For organized desktop lovers, the update has a new small feature for File Explorer. The preview thumbnail title in the taskbar, ALT + Tab, and Task View will show if that window has multiple tabs. It may seem like a minor alteration, but it is truly big for those who simultaneously handle many tasks.

But it is not only about the looks, there have been some small UI changes too. They made the Windows share window simpler by taking out the search box from it so that sharing files becomes easy like a breeze. Also, for all those who develop things – “End Task” in the taskbar now does not show the Not Responding dialog anymore, which means it’s faster to close down unresponsive programs.

We’re rolling out some minor UI changes to simplify the Windows share window which removes the search box.

Additionally, there has been an emphasis on making things more accessible. Microsoft made adjustments to File Explorer, Common File Dialog (CFD), and Browse/Shortcuts Dialogs so that they react better to changes in text size and scaling settings. From now on, you won’t need to strain your eyes on truncated file names or wrestle with screen readers anymore.

Addressed several accessibility issues where File Explorer, Common File Dialog (CFD), and Browse/Shortcuts Dialogs did not respond appropriately to your text size / scaling preferences. Including, but not limited to, fixed an issue where file name was getting clipped in the CFD and the Browse/ Shortcuts dialog.

The Redmond-based tech giant fixed some errors like Voice Typing in some languages, an app icon on the taskbar that flashes more noticeably, and OneDrive as a RemoteApp within Azure Virtual Desktop a few updates. Also, Microsoft solved the problem where GPUs were not going into an idle state, causing them to keep using power without need.

However, KB5039327 still has lots of known issues. For example, the All Apps list is not being read out by screen readers, and a few apps still do not get sorted correctly in this list when you use certain display languages. But looking at how Microsoft has been handling things up until now, it’s clear as day—they will surely fix these small problems, too, sooner or later.

Microsoft’s most recent Beta Channel KB5039327 build for Windows 11 Insiders combines good and bad. It has many improvements, such as simplifying multitasking, enhancing accessibility features, and fixing problems in the previous version.
